We just finished talking to the doctor. The good news is Heather is at 3cm, but that took 24 hours. The doctor thinks that starting on Pitocin is the right next step. We have no idea how things are going to progress from here but I’ll keep on the updates.
We are waiting until 4, when we hope to have the next round of decisions to make. It appears that the Foley Balloon isn’t doing the job we had hoped.
Gary and Joan are planning to join us for lunch here at the hospital, thankfully they are also providing the food.
Fog has cleared and it’s a bright sunny day.
Last night Heather spent the night in the hospital while I went home to try and get a good night sleep. We are going to meet with the doctors to find out next steps.
On another note it’s a very foggy day here in San Fran.
We’ve had a foley bulb inserted into the uterus just now which is step one in getting the cervix to dilate. More to follow.
Heather has had a few small contractions since the Foley balloon was put in, which is a good sign. Everything is progressing well, we are still about 24 hours away from active labor.
